360° panorama over Winterberg & Sauerland
It is the landmark of the town of Winterberg. The arch of the St. Georg ski jump rises strikingly 80 meters high above the landscape at Herrlohkopf. Promising young talents from the Winterberg Ski Club train there all year round. It’s always season on the plastic-covered jump. German Championships and the Summer Grand Prix of the Nordic Combined are among the events held at the German Ski Association (DSV) national training center.
2,000 spectators can find space in the stands and the ground-level area of the Event Arena. Watch the “eagles” during the competitions and keep your fingers crossed for them.
From the 22-meter-high viewing platform, you can look deep down into the valley. Afterwards, you can relax on the large sun terrace at Restaurant Die Schanze and continue to enjoy the view.
