How much does the admission to Schanze360° and the individual attractions cost?

Admission to Schanze360° is free. You can take your time to look around on site and move freely on the mountain and in the valley. You only pay for the attractions you use. You can find the current prices for the attractions on their respective pages: Schanzen Wirbel, Herrloh Blitz, ZIP-Line, Sesselbahnen.

Are there discounts for children, families, or groups?

Children up to 15 years old receive discounted prices. You can find an overview on the respective pages of the attractions Schanzen Wirbel, Herrloh Blitz, ZIP-Line, Chairlifts.

Groups of 15 people or more also receive a discount. Details for group offers can be found here.

Do I have to book tickets online in advance, or can I buy them on site?

Both are possible: You can conveniently buy your ticket online via Starjack or directly on site at the ticket counters of the toboggan runs and chairlifts, as well as the ZIP-Line.

Can tickets be canceled or rebooked (e.g., due to bad weather or illness)?

Cancellation or rebooking is not possible. However, thanks to the ticket validity of up to one year, your visit can be easily postponed to another date in case of rain or illness.

What are the opening hours of the attractions?

You can find an overview of the attractions open today here. Regular opening hours may vary due to weather conditions.

Are the coasters and ZIP-Line open in rain or changeable weather?

Schanzen Wirbel, as an all-weather track, is open almost year-round (including in wet weather/rain). The Herrloh Blitz coaster remains closed in wet conditions/rain.
The ZIP-Line cannot be operated in strong winds. Please check the status for the latest updates.

Are there any restrictions for the Herrloh Blitz and Schanzen Wirbel coasters?

Children aged 8 and over may ride alone, and children aged 3 and over may ride accompanied (the pilot must be at least 8 years old).

Are there any restrictions for the ZIP-Line?

Children under 14 may only fly with parental consent.

Weight (including clothing): minimum 45 kg and maximum 110 kg (depending on wind conditions, our staff reserves the right to adjust these values accordingly).

The ZIP-Line must not be used during pregnancy, under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or with severe cardiovascular conditions or epilepsy.

From what age can you use the coasters and the ZIP-Line?

Children aged 8 and up may ride the Herrloh Blitz and Schanzen Wirbel coasters alone. Younger children aged 3 and up may only ride with an accompanying person (the sled pilot must be at least 8 years old).
For the ZIP-Line, anyone under 14 must present a parental consent form (additional rules also apply; see ZIP-Line restrictions).

Can two people ride on one coaster sled or fly together on the ZIP-Line?

The sleds on both coasters are suitable for two people. On the ZIP-Line, you can fly parallel to each other (each person alone on one cable).

How do I get back to the starting point on the mountain after using the ZIP-Line?

Our St. Georg Schanze chairlift (Lift No. 2) will take you back up the mountain free of charge.

What do I do with my handbag/backpack or similar items during the flight/ride?

Small handbags should be worn close to the body or securely fastened. Larger bags and backpacks can be left with our staff at the starting point before beginning the ride or flight.

Are the facilities accessible and suitable for people with disabilities?

Accessibility is limited, as the attractions are located around Herrloh Mountain and the valley, making ascents and descents unavoidable. From parking lot P1, it’s about a 5-minute walk (paved road and gravel path) to the individual attractions. The ZIP-Line is only accessible via stairs. Access must be assessed individually.

Are dogs allowed on the chairlifts?

No, dogs are not allowed on the chairlifts.

Can I film or take photos during the ride or flight?

No, for safety reasons, filming and photography are not permitted during use.

Are drones allowed on the premises?

Flying over the area with drones, as well as takeoff and landing, are strictly prohibited throughout the entire area.

How do I reach Schanze360° and what parking options are available on site?

You can reach Schanze360° by car via parking lot P1 at Am Waltenberg 69. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the individual attractions. Alternatively, you can reach us by bus from Winterberg train station (lines S40 & R28, Rathaus stop, about a 10-minute walk). Bus timetable & train here

Is there food service on site?

Right at the St. Georg ski jump is the restaurant Die Schanze with a wide selection of food and drinks. Menu & opening hours A kiosk is located down in the valley at the ticket office and the entrance to the Schanzen Wirbel coaster.

Is specific clothing or special footwear required for the ZIP-Line or the coasters?

Comfortable everyday clothing that allows sufficient freedom of movement is perfectly adequate.
